The Dansville Aggies will challenge the Pewamo-Westphalia Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dansville knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Pewamo-Westphalia likes a good challenge.
Dansville is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Morrice get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory on Wednesday. The Aggies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Maddi Carter made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, three runs, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bree Delano, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 12 games. Another player making a difference was Kaelee Foreman, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
Dansville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Pewamo-Westphalia narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Saranac 8-7.
Makayla McRae spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on 12 hits.
On the hitting side, Peyton Eklund was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Reylee Thelen, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Dansville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Pewamo-Westphalia, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Pewamo-Westphalia's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Dansville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .397. It's a different story for Pewamo-Westphalia, though, as they've only averaged .256. Will they be able to contain Dansville's hitters?
Dansville was able to grind out a solid victory over Pewamo-Westphalia when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 9-6. Do the Aggies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
