E.L. Haynes got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jency Beatriz out in front who scored 23 points. Beatriz continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Juan Creamer was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
E.L. Haynes' win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11. As for BASIS, they bumped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
E.L. Haynes will take on KIPP DC Legacy College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in District of Columbia (KIPP DC Legacy College Prep is ranked 21st, while E.L. Haynes is ranked 39th). As for BASIS, they will head out on the road to square off against DC International at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
