The third road contest was the charm for the Lakeway Christian Academy Lions, as they earned their first road win of the season. They breezed by Berean Christian on the road to the tune of 90-19. With Lakeway Christian Academy ahead 60-9 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Leading Lakeway Christian Academy to victory were Ellie Linx and Kami Wilson. Linx scored 22 points along with 6 steals, while Wilson scored 30 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds. The game was Wilson's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Underwood, who scored 15 points along with 4 steals.
The victory got Lakeway Christian Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Berean Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Lakeway Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Volunteer at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Berean Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Concord Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
