Farmville Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nakevia Phillips led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaydien Joyner, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Ayden - Grifton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season. As for Farmville Central, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Ayden - Grifton will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Rams at 6:00 p.m. As for Farmville Central, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. Wilson Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 575th, while the Jaguars are ranked 221st).
