Delta hasn't had much luck against Millard recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Rabbits will challenge the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Delta is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Delta was handed an 11-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Milford 12-10. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

The team relied heavily on Joslyn Christiansen, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elee Anderson, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Millard came out on top against South Summit on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Eagles put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 8-1 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Macie Wade made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Wade was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Paityn Taylor was incredible, firing off two home runs while going 3-for-4. Maggie Stephens also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Millard lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Summit didn't launched any.
Delta's record is now 8-11. As for Millard, their record now sits at 4-12.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Delta hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. However, it's not like Millard struggles in that department as they've averaged .317. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Delta suffered a grim 22-2 defeat to Millard when the teams last played back in March. Can the Rabbits avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
