The Lima Senior Spartans took care of business in their home opener on Wednesday. They came out on top against Trotwood-Madison by a score of 45-33.
Lima Senior's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maisie Strawser, who scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mallory Gipson, who scored 3 points along with 14 rebounds.
Lima Senior's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Trotwood-Madison, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lima Senior will take on Bowling Green at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Trotwood-Madison, they will be playing at home against Chaminade Julienne Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
