The Greensboro Day School Bengals will head out on the road to take on the GRACE Christian Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. GRACE Christian took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Greensboro Day School, who comes in off a win.
Greensboro Day School not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 25, 2024. Everything went their way against Asheville Christian Academy as Greensboro Day School made off with a 10-2 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Bengals' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Trevor Waters and Nick Salas made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Waters struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Salas tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. That's the fewest hits Waters has allowed since back in March of 2024. At the plate, Waters scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 4-for-5, while Salas went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The dominant performance gave Waters a new career-high in stolen bases.
In other batting news, Greensboro Day School let Oliver Fisher and Luke Ray run wild. Fisher went 2-for-4 with one triple, one double, and one RBI, while Ray scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Trenton Travis, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, GRACE Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of John Paul II Catholic.
Tucker Riggs put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Riggs was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Conner Tack made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-3.
GRACE Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Greensboro Day School, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
