The Freeman Flyers waltzed into their game on Thursday with five straight wins but they left with six. They blew past Alcester-Hudson 65-45. Freeman has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Freeman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ashlin Jacobsen, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. Jacobsen is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played. Cami Fransen was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Freeman has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. As for Alcester-Hudson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Freeman has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Cavaliers at 2:15 p.m. on February 3rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Dakota (Bon Homme is ranked 38th, while the Flyers are ranked 35th). As for Alcester-Hudson, they will head out on the road to challenge the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
