The Grace Christian Wildcats lost against the Cornerstone Christian Academy Cougars back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Grace Christian took a serious blow against Cornerstone Christian Academy, falling 67-23. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Grace Christian in their matchups with Cornerstone Christian Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
Cornerstone Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Joseph Lemmon out in front who scored 21 points. Lemmon is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Jordan Lemmon was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Grace Christian dropped their record down to 3-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Christian will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Columbus Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 30th. Columbus Christian Academy is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Sandhills Classical Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
