The Lake Center Christian Tiger posted their biggest win since December 5, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Southeast 76-40 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Lake Center Christian has posted against Southeast since February 15, 2019.
When it comes to explaining why Southeast lost, one person who can't be blamed is Garrett Sprutte. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. That was a full 57.5% of Southeast's points, marking the 14th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Lake Center Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Southeast, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
Lake Center Christian will face off against Central Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 671st, while Lake Center Christian is ranked 300th). As for Southeast, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Crestwood at 6:45 p.m. on January 30th. Crestwood will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
