The Schley County Wildcats waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 52-39 win over Marion County. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Schley County also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Schley County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emma Walker, who scored 15 points along with three steals. Walker is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jamesen Hollomon, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
When it comes to explaining why Marion County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Valencia Alridge. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points along with two blocks. Jamaya Crumbley was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds.
Schley County's victory bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Marion County, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.
Schley County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Marion County also has no future games currently scheduled.
