Smithfield entered their tilt with Tabb on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Tabb Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 67-50. Given the Packers' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Tigers are ranked 354th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Tabb still got an impressive performance from Micah Marbra, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. James Mueller was another key player, putting up ten points.

Smithfield's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Tabb, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Smithfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 85-79 defeat against New Kent on the 10th. Tabb has also already played their next contest, a 67-36 win against York on the 10th.
