This season hasn't been kind to the Cedar Creek Christian Saints, who are still winless after their 11th game. They were dealt a 80-27 defeat at the hands of St. Johns Country Day on Wednesday. Cedar Creek Christian has struggled against the Spartans recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Johns Country Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Erik Williams, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. It was the first time this season that Williams scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Holcomb, who scored 15 points along with five assists.
Cedar Creek Christian dropped their record down to 0-11 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for St. Johns Country Day, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 20-3.
Cedar Creek Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Johns Country Day will take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Christ's Church Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 713th, while the Spartans are ranked 342nd).
