The Pike Valley Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Stockton 79-30 on the road. Pike Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.
Pike Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gavin Massell led the charge by scoring 19 points along with five rebounds. Andrew Cooper was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
The victory was the fifth in a row for Pike Valley, bringing their record for this year to 7-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points per game. As for Stockton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pike Valley will take on Natoma at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stockton, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Trego on January 29th.
