The Syracuse Titans will head out on the road to take on the Riverton Silverwolves at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Syracuse came out on top against Roy on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 13-run sixth inning. The Titans were the clear victors by a 23-4 margin over the Royals. The win was nothing new for the Titans as they're now sitting on three straight.
Kenlee Jensen and Avarie Floto dominated on the mound. Jensen tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit, while Floto pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Floto has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brooklyn Sackolwitz was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Oaklee Derrickson, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Syracuse always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Riverton got themselves on the board against Corner Canyon on Thursday, but Corner Canyon never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Chargers with a sharp 20-0 victory. The Silverwolves haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Baylee Martinez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Martinez was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Lindsey Strieby looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Grace Leary, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Maggie Hamblin also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Syracuse's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.7 runs over those games. As for Riverton, their record now sits at 15-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Syracuse hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Riverton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Syracuse might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Riverton when the teams last played back in April of 2021. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
