Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, St. Edward struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Heartland Lutheran racked up 20 assists.
Meanwhile, St. Francis beat Nebraska Christian 39-32 on Saturday.
St. Edward's defeat was their 13th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-12. As for St. Francis, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
St. Edward was taken down by St. Francis 55-11 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point St. Edward was down 47-7.
