The Moriah Vikings stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 64-36 win over Ticonderoga. The win was familiar territory for Moriah who now have four in a row.
Leading Moriah to victory were Wyatt Whitman and Cooper Allen. Whitman scored 17 points along with five steals, while Allen scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Whitman has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Logan Gilbo, who scored two points along with seven assists and four steals.
Moriah's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.1 points. As for Ticonderoga, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moriah has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Northeastern Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th. Moriah has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 390 points over their last six matchups. As for Ticonderoga, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Peru at 7:00 p.m. Ticonderoga is facing Peru at the right time seeing as Peru is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
