The Harper Woods Pioneers won the last time they faced the Oak Park Knights, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Harper Woods claimed a resounding 71-29 win over Oak Park at home. With Harper Woods ahead 37-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.
When it comes to explaining why Oak Park lost, one person who can't be blamed is Taylor Adamson. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Johnson-Williams, who scored nine points.
The win makes it two in a row for Harper Woods and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Oak Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harper Woods will square off against Detroit Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Detroit Country Day knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Harper Woods likes a good challenge. Oak Park will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against South Lyon at 7:00 p.m. on December 14th.
