Snohomish has gone a perfect 8-0 against Stanwood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. Snohomish is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
Snohomish's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top against Marysville Getchell by a score of 5-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The result came thanks to Abby Edwards's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Hannah Siegler was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelie Lopez, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Stanwood waltzed into their matchup on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Everything went their way against the Seagulls as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Reagan Ryan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jemma Lopez, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Stanwood's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Snohomish, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Snohomish has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Stanwood struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Snohomish beat Stanwood 7-4 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
