The McKinley Red Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. Their rough 69-44 defeat to Girard might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McKinley in their matchups with Girard: they've now lost eight in a row.
When it comes to explaining why McKinley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hannah Grimm. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Grimm has scored all season. Emily Macik was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
McKinley's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Girard, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-8.
