The Southeast Seminoles had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Varsity Opponent 52-7 at home. Southeast's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Southeast found their leader in underclassman Gabriela Morales, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Azharia Jones, who scored ten points.
Southeast's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-15. As for Varsity Opponent, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 16 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 91-325 record this season.
Southeast and Booker will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Varsity Opponent won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Providence Academy at 12:00 p.m. on January 18th.
