The Seneca Red Hawks had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.6 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 56-25 win over Atherton on the road. This was payback for Seneca, who suffered a 37-30 loss the last time these two teams met.
Seneca's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Timiah Harlan led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harlan has scored all season. Arionna Tunstall was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Seneca is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Atherton, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Seneca didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-27 victory vs. Jeffersontown on the 9th. Atherton will head out on the road to challenge Brown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
