The Tillamook Cheesemakers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their ninth straight defeat. They took a hard 65-46 fall against Scappoose. While losing is never fun, Tillamook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Indians are ranked 95th).
Scappoose found their leader in underclassman Elijah Greenan biggs, who scored 19 points along with five assists and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinton Olson, who scored 12 points.
Tillamook dropped their record down to 2-15 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Scappoose, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Tillamook will head out on the road to face off against the Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Scappoose focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Saturday. As for they, they will look to defend their home court against Tillamook at 5:30 p.m.
