The Glencoe Yellowjackets will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Douglas Eagles at 1:30 p.m. on December 27th. Douglas took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Glencoe, who comes in off a win.
Glencoe scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Hayden on the road to the tune of 73-21. That 73-21 margin sets a new team best for Glencoe this season.
Glencoe's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evelyn Nowak, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Nowak grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Libby King, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Douglas was beaten by Arab 45-14 on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Douglas has scored all season.
Glencoe's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Douglas, they bumped their record down to 2-12 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
