After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Robbinsville, Copper Basin was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They skirted past the Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts Eagles 9-8. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 9-4 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.
Kinsley Ross made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up five earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.
