After low-scoring totals in their previous three  match, Mars brought some dynamite into their most recent  contest. Everything went their way against the Penn Hills Indians on Thursday as they made off with  a  15-0 victory. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Fightin' Planets as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
 Makenna White looked comfortable as she  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.

 On the hitting side,  Abby Robinson was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with four  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI. Those  four  runs gave  her a new career-high.  Gabrielle Rapport was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 Mars  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Penn Hills struck out seven times.
The  victory was their first  on the road , bumping their record up to 3-11. As for Penn Hills, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the  loss, which was their third straight  at home.
 Mars and Penn Hills could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage  in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Fightin' Planets will  square off against  North Hills  at 1:00  p.m.  on Monday with a big rank  disadvantage  (342 vs. 55). Meanwhile,  Penn Hills (ranked 433rd) will meet Fox Chapel (ranked 97th)  at 3:00  p.m.  on Monday.
