Wyatt Beddes Drops League-Best Performance on Friday
Starting off the list is Shepherd's Wyatt Beddes, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Beddes rushed for 32 yards and a touchdown.
Shepherd is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7. Beddes and Shepherd will be playing in front of their home fans against Red Lodge/Belfry/Roberts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Jake Cook Dazzles in Joliet Win
Joliet picked up their third consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Jake Cook. Cook turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 84 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also picking up 72 receiving yards. He didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
Joliet pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Cook and Joliet will take on Huntley Project at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Schmidt Made His Presence Known in Huntley Project's 36-0 Win
Grady Schmidt's big game helped extend Huntley Project's winning streak to three on Friday. Schmidt turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 136 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 136 rushing yards dating back to last season.
This year, Schmidt has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 117.2 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 44.67 rushing yards per game.

Joliet Gets a Boost from Juhnke in 49-7 Victory
Kaden Juhnke put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in September of 2023 on Thursday. He rushed for 37 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 98 yards and a touchdown on only seven passes. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making five total tackles.
On the year, Juhnke has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 137 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had three rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to five.
