After losing to the Neumann Celtics the last time they met, the North Fort Myers Red Knights decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. North Fort Myers managed a 55-51 victory over Neumann on Tuesday.
North Fort Myers got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaiah Newson out in front who scored 19 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Newson has scored at least 25% of North Fort Myers' points. Another player making a difference was Bryce Makar, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds.
North Fort Myers' win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Neumann, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Bonita Springs the next time they take the court. Neumann will host Bonita Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while North Fort Myers will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
