Chichester won the last time they faced Penn Wood and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Patriots a 16-0 shutout. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Chichester got a massive performance out of Evan Valentine, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Valentine has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Derrickson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Chichester always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .724. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Penn Wood only posted an OBP of .182.

The victory made it two in a row for Chichester and bumps their season record up to 10-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.5 runs over those games. As for Penn Wood, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Chichester has already played their next game, a 9-2 victory against Interboro on the 5th. As for Penn Wood, they will square off against Chester at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Clippers have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
