The Van-Far Indians had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They walked away with a 47-37 victory over Wright City. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Van-Far also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Van-Far's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Jennings, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nikos Connaway, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
Van-Far has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Wright City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Van-Far will take on Bowling Green at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wright City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wellsville-Middletown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wellsville-Middletown is coming into the game with four straight defeats on the road, meaning Wright City will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
