After three games on the road, Rustin is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Stuyvesant Peglegs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Rustin's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Rustin pushed their score all the way to 62 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Norman Thomas by a score of 64-62. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Rustin has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Stuyvesant had to suffer through a rough 89-42 loss at the hands of Bergtraum. While losing is never fun, Stuyvesant can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while Bergtraum is ranked 70th).
Rustin's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-3. As for Stuyvesant, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Rustin didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Stuyvesant in their previous meeting back in November, but they still walked away with a 84-78 victory. Will Rustin repeat their success, or does Stuyvesant have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
