The Meadowcreek Mustangs had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 55-43 win over Miller Grove on Thursday. This was payback for Meadowcreek, who suffered a 53-47 loss the last time these two teams met.
Meadowcreek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Richard Dunston out in front who scored 11 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for him. Adonai Mussie was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 20 rebounds and three blocks.
Meadowcreek's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Miller Grove, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meadowcreek and Berkmar will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Berkmar is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games. As for Miller Grove, they will be playing at home against Holy Innocents Episcopal at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Holy Innocents Episcopal is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
