Turpin is 3-0 against Sharon-Mutual since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Turpin Cardinals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sharon-Mutual Trojans at 1:45 p.m. Hopefully Turpin is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sharon-Mutual in Oklahoma (Turpin is ranked 166th, while Sharon-Mutual is ranked 437th).
Turpin can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Forgan 60-9 on the road. With that win, Turpin brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.
Gunner Post continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Peters, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Sharon-Mutual's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell to Geary 45-41.
Turpin pushed their record up to 8-6 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36 points. As for Sharon-Mutual, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
Turpin didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Sharon-Mutual when the teams last played back in January of 2017, but they still walked away with a 53-48 win. Will Turpin repeat their success, or does Sharon-Mutual have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
