The Dallas Christian Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 41-32 to Tyler Legacy. While losing is never fun, Dallas Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 633rd, while Tyler Legacy is ranked 190th).
Macie Perkins and Jackie Schlegel certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Perkins scored 5 points along with 10 rebounds and 3 blocks, while Schlegel scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Schlegel scored a full 37.5% of Dallas Christian's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Dallas Christian has fallen quite a ways from their 22-8 record last season and are now at 1-3. As for Tyler Legacy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.
Dallas Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mt. Pleasant at 6:00 p.m. on November 30th. Mt. Pleasant is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Tyler Legacy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dunbar at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
