Christian Ray Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Fredericksburg Christian got the W thanks in part to Christian Ray playing the best football he has all season. Ray rushed for 206 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now rushed for 150 or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Ray is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Fork Union Military Academy on Friday. When Ray last faced the Blue Devils back in October of 2023, he rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.

Big Game from Stafford As Blue Ridge Won 42-8
Blue Ridge picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Darius Stafford. St. Anne's-Belfield had no answer to Stafford as he rushed for 188 yards on only 13 carries, and also picked up 34 receiving yards. Stafford's longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards.
Blue Ridge's win bumped their record up to 5-0. Stafford and Blue Ridge will host Atlantic Shores Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Trip Blalock Has Career Rushing Day
Trip Blalock posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 48 yards and a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 79-yard run.
This year, Blalock has thrown 12 touchdowns while averaging 137.7 passing yards per game.
