Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sunset). They took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 76-49 win over the Booker T. Washington Tornadoes. With that victory, the Knights brought their scoring average up to 54 points per game.
Sunset's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jonathan Clarke led the charge by going 5 for 11 on his way to 10 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Clarke is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jullien Louis, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds.
The win got Sunset back to even at 3-3. As for Booker T. Washington, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sunset will welcome Pinecrest Glades Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
