The Mt. Pleasant Vikings will head out on the road to  square off against  the Southmoreland Scotties  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams are coming into the  game red-hot, with Mt. Pleasant sitting on  four straight  victories and Southmoreland on seven.
On Friday, Mt. Pleasant was able to grind out a solid  win over Greensburg Salem, taking the game  42-29.
Meanwhile, Southmoreland never let their opponents score on Friday. They took their  contest  with ease, bagging  a  41-0 victory over Yough. The result was nothing new for the Scotties, who have now won five matchups by 21  points or more  so far this season.
Mt. Pleasant better keep an eye on  Jackson Mickens. He was instrumental in Southmoreland's win, rushing for 101 yards and a pair of  TDs. Those  101  rushing yards gave  Mickens a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Averyon Darnell, who rushed for 72 yards and one  touchdown.
 Southmoreland was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 240  rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Yough only  rushed for 83.
