The Killeen Kangaroos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a hard 68-53 fall against Chaparral. While losing is never fun, Killeen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 970th, while Chaparral is ranked 390th).
Chaparral got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brad Miles out in front who scored 12 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Demarko Williams, who scored 12 points.
Killeen bumped their record down to 3-22 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight at home. As for Chaparral, they now have a winning record of 16-15.
Killeen will be playing in front of their home fans against Waco at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waco is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Chaparral, they will head out on the road to take on Shoemaker at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shoemaker is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
