Chavez hasn't had much luck against Wasco recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Titans will face off against the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If Chavez beats Wasco with 14 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Titans beat McFarland on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 14-3. The win was nothing new for the Titans as they're now sitting on five straight.
Madyson Herrera made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in February of 2024.

In other batting news, ELLIE ESPIRITU was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Elizondo, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Chavez was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .389 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Wasco got themselves on the board against Tehachapi on Wednesday, but Tehachapi never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Warriors. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won three in a row.
The team relied heavily on Sienna Lugo, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Karime Raya was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Wasco pushed their record up to 10-7-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Chavez, their record now sits at 10-11.
Chavez suffered a grim 8-2 defeat to Wasco in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
