The Hauser Jets will venture away from home to challenge the Oldenburg Academy Twisters at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hauser will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
If Hauser beats Oldenburg Academy with eight runs on Saturday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Jets put the hurt on Eastern Hancock with a sharp 8-2 victory on Wednesday. The Jets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.
R.J. Foster was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kameron Blair, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Oldenburg Academy owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. Everything went their way against Milan as they made off with a 6-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Twisters.
Zach Hoff was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adam Weber, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Oldenburg Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise.
Hauser pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Oldenburg Academy, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Hauser suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Oldenburg Academy when the teams last played back in May of 2021. Can the Jets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
