Chesterton came tearing into  Saturday's  game with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the NorthWood Panthers with a sharp  3-0 win.
 The  victory didn't come easy: NorthWood scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 29-27,  25-19.
 Luca Bombacino paced Chesterton's offense, picking up 19 kills. Bombacino got some help from  Reese Dilbeck and her 27 assists. Bombacino also made an impact serving:  she shared the team lead in aces with  Delaney Barrett, racking up two apiece.
 Despite the  defeat, NorthWood saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Nola Nephew  had 11  digs. Nephew has been hot, having  posted 11 or more  digs the last seven times she's  played.  Rylee Johnson also deserves some recognition as  she  posted her first assist of the season.
Chesterton's win bumped their record up to 21-3. As for NorthWood, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
 Coincidentally, Chesterton and NorthWood will both be playing Angola the next time they take the court. The Trojans will head out to face the Hornets at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 11:00  a.m.
