Glenview College Prep narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Eagles 21-19. The victory was just what Glenview College Prep needed coming off of a 45-15 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Imagine Prep can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 69-8 victory over ASU Prep. Given Imagine Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Sun Devils are ranked 269th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Imagine Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aaliyah Chacon out in front who scored 22 points along with five steals. Chacon hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Bella Ernsberger, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds.
Glenview College Prep's record now sits at 3-11. As for Imagine Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Glenview College Prep was taken down by the Storm 57-2 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Glenview College Prep was down 29-0.
