H-L-V have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will challenge Winfield-Mt. Union on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. H-L-V have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
H-L-V were able to grind out a solid victory over Lone Tree two weeks ago, winning 40-26. The success made it back-to-back wins for H-L-V.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 22-84, which was the final score in Winfield-Mt. Union's tilt against Iowa Valley last week. It was a tough break for Winfield-Mt. Union, who improved upon an already decent score from the game before but lost both times.
H-L-V's win lifted them to 3-1 while Winfield-Mt. Union's defeat dropped them down to 1-4. We'll find out if H-L-V can add another positive mark to their record or if Winfield-Mt. Union can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of H-L-V's step.
