The Camden Military Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trinity Collegiate Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Camden Military is out to stop a eight-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Camden Military ended up a good deal behind Wilson Hall and lost 63-46. While losing is never fun, Camden Military can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while Wilson Hall is ranked 83rd).
Meanwhile, even though Heathwood Hall Episcopal scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, Trinity Collegiate still came out on top. Trinity Collegiate managed a 64-58 win over Heathwood Hall Episcopal.
Trinity Collegiate's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jy?ell Preston led the charge by scoring 14 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Preston has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jae Thomas, who scored 15 points.
Camden Military's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Trinity Collegiate, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-9.
Camden Military took a serious blow against Trinity Collegiate when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 82-32. Can Camden Military avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
