The McKenzie Tigers won the last time they faced the Kinston Bulldogs, and things went their way on Friday too. McKenzie breezed by Kinston at home to the tune of 46-19. The result was nothing new for McKenzie, who have now won four matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McKenzie to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaylen Mcmillian, who threw for 228 yards and five touchdowns on only 12 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnny Davison, who rushed for 188 yards on only 13 carries.
Although Kinston took the loss, they still got scores from Judd Green and Brodie Walker.
McKenzie has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Kinston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
McKenzie will head out on the road to face off against Houston County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kinston, they will be playing at home against Florala at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Florala is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
