The Winfield Vikings were the 41-36 winner over the Conway Springs Cardinals when they last played one another back in January of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Winfield fell just short of Conway Springs by a score of 33-30. Winfield has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Conway Springs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Macie Hartman, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hartman has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Melissa Ebenkamp, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and seven steals.
Winfield's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Conway Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
Winfield on the road again on Tuesday and play against Andale on January 30th. As for Conway Springs, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North on January 27th.
