The Redmond Mustangs will challenge the Inglemoor Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Redmond sitting on seven straight wins and Inglemoor on three.
Redmond is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Liberty, who was ranked 17th at the time (Redmond was ranked seventh). Redmond came out on top in a nail-biter against Liberty on Monday, sneaking past 2-1. The two-run effort marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Ainsley Barcalow was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kati Cygan, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
While Inglemoor didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Woodinville on Monday.
Malin Homes (2028) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Inglemoor saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Miller (2027), who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Redmond pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Inglemoor, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Redmond hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .401. However, it's not like Inglemoor struggles in that department as they've averaged .337. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Redmond took their victory against Inglemoor when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 20-10. Will Redmond repeat their success, or does Inglemoor has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
