Horizon Science Academy is 0-3 against Delaware Christian since November of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Horizon Science Academy Hawks will head out on the road to challenge the Delaware Christian Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Hopefully Horizon Science Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Thursday.
Horizon Science Academy entered their tilt with Granville Christian Academy with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Horizon Science Academy came out on top against Granville Christian Academy by a score of 37-25.
Hawa Ba continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last 15 times she's played. Glory Owoyemi was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Delaware Christian, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-37 loss to Genoa Christian Academy on Tuesday. Delaware Christian has not had much luck with Genoa Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite their defeat, Delaware Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Addy Beard, who scored 15 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Pearch, who scored nine points along with six assists and five rebounds.
The win got Horizon Science Academy back to even at 9-9. As for Delaware Christian, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-10.
Horizon Science Academy was dealt a bruising 59-10 defeat at the hands of Delaware Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2021. Thankfully for Horizon Science Academy, Katie Neuhart (who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 15 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
