The Lansingburgh Knights lost against the Catholic Central Crusaders back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Lansingburgh took a hard 70-53 fall against Catholic Central. Lansingburgh has not had much luck with Catholic Central recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Darien Moore continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Catholic Central, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. Moore hasn't dropped below 15points for 11 straight games. Xavjon Arroyo was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Lansingburgh's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Catholic Central, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lansingburgh will take on Stillwater at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Stillwater knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 games -- so hopefully Lansingburgh likes a good challenge. As for Catholic Central, they will head out on the road to square off against Elmira at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Elmira is on a four-game streak of home wins, Catholic Central a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
