Volleyball Recap: Holdrege Beats Sidney for Their Second Straight Victory

Holdrege won the last time they faced Sidney and Ellie Pelster did her part to make sure it happened again. The Dusters walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Red Raiders on Saturday with plenty of help from Pelster, who had 15 digs and one assist. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Sidney's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taylor Sprenger, who had 13 digs and three assists.

The win made it two in a row for Holdrege and bumps their season record up to 18-7. As for Sidney, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-18 record this season.

Holdrege has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Broken Bow on the 20th. As for Sidney, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Gering on the 21st.
